About Us.
The Georgetown Spatial Policy Lab is an undergraduate student initiative aligning policy research with GIS tools. We believe the most pressing policy questions are spatial questions — and that the people answering them should know how to make a map.
What we do
- Research Member-driven projects that bring spatial evidence to real policy questions.
- The SPL Atlas Interactive maps built by members on open data and open-source tools.
- GIS education Workshops that take students from zero to published map — no experience required.
- Posts Short, map-driven writing on the spatial side of policy.
